Optical Shop
The spectacle division at Aravind started as a small counter in 1975 and has evolved into a one-stop shop for eyewear. Our state-of-the-art fitting and processing lab combined with the expertise of our trained staff are here to provide you the best service. Last year we have sold over 60,000 spectacles at our Madurai outlets and a further 14,500 at our outreach camps.
Here we provide a wide range of frames of every style. In addition to a large range of affordable frames we also carry select brands such as Luxottica, Sferoflex, Safilo, Optimed, Gucci. Our range includes new-age frames such as Titanium, Stainless Steel, rimless and flexible frames.
Lenses available range from regular glass lenses to the latest in polycarbonates. Our staff are trained in dispensing Progressive lenses too.

Our state-of-the-art edging and fitting lab enables us to deliver your spectacles within 1 to 4 hours.
Special prescriptions, lenses and lens-coatings may take longer to deliver.
The on-site processing lab set up by Essilor SRF Pvt Ltd allows us to deliver even special prescription lenses to you on the same day.
We also ensure the availability of our quality spectacles to the community through Aravind’s outreach camps. These spectacles are provided at an affordable price and are fitted and dispensed on the spot. The service thus provided is convenient and complete.
At Aravind, our trained opticians will guide you to choose an appropriate frame and lens according to your requirements. Please feel free to approach our staff for any enquiry or guidance.
The optical shop also has a Service Station where you can get you spectacles cleaned or repaired. Spectacle accessories like cases, chains, cleaning solutions and wiping cloth are also available here. A wide range of sunglasses is also available. Post-operative dark glasses can also be purchased here.
