Inauguration of Myopia Clinic

Myopia is one of the leading causes of vision impairment in children and  is increasing rapidly across the country. By 2050, 50% of the world’s population is expected to be myopic. In the recent past, there has been a lot of research in this field. As an extension of Paediatric Ophthalmology Clinic, Aravind-Madurai opened a dedicated clinic to address the problem of myopia in children. . The clinic aims at providing them with the latest interventions, improving awareness on prevention of myopia progression and early identification. Dr. P. Namperumalsamy inaugurated the clinic. The clinic is furnished with state of the art investigations and specialised lenses, medications to control myopia progression at an affordable cost.
