Scleral-fixated Intra Ocular Lens Skill Transfer Course

Aravind –Pondicherry, October 8

Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry conducted flanged SFIOL skill transfer course with 3D live video surgery. A total of 20 medical officers from the departments of Cataract and IOL Services across Aravind Eye Hospitals took part. Dr. N. Venkatesh Prajna, Chief, Cornea Services, Aravind-Madurai and Dr. R. Venkatesh inaugurated the workshop.  Dr. V.R. Vivekanandan described and demonstrated the novel technique with 3D live video surgery.  Wet lab practice and hands-on sessions were also arranged followed by postoperative evaluation and management.
