Glaucoma Retreat

Aravind-Tirunelveli, 11-12 October 2025

The Glaucoma Retreat, organised at Aravind–Tirunelveli, aimed to provide a comprehensive platform for sharing knowledge, reviewing current practices, and exploring newer developments in the management of glaucoma. The programme brought together medical consultants, glaucoma clinic managers, coordinators, and AOPs for two days of insightful learning and discussion. Participants were divided into four groups to discuss key focus areas: research, improving patient care, strengthening training programmes. The sessions were facilitated by Dhivya Ramasamy, Executive Director, LAICO, and B. Udhayakumar, Senior Faculty, LAICO. The group discussions encouraged the exchange of ideas and addressed practical challenges faced in clinical settings. The two-day event concluded with a feedback session, during which participants outlined an action plan with specific goals, designated responsibilities, and clear timelines.
