Aravind-Madurai, 5-7 January 2026

Prof. Prakash Satyavageeswaran, Associate Professor (Marketing Area), along with faculty members from the Marketing Area and Co-Chair of the Centre for Healthcare, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur, Rajasthan, visited Aravind-Madurai. The visit focused on discussions related to their ongoing research project, undertaken in close collaboration with the Glaucoma Department at Aravind.

As part of a follow-up engagement, Prof. Sreejith Kumar Krishnakumar, Associate Professor, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods, and Information Systems Area, IIM Udaipur, also met with the Aravind team to continue discussions.

With expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Electronic Medical Records (EMR), he engaged in discussions with the IT team to share his knowledge and explore potential opportunities for future collaboration.

Sandhiprakash Bhide, CEO of Balak Drishti, an organisation dedicated to addressing paediatric blindness and uncorrected refractive errors (URE) in children, visited Aravind Eye Hospital and Aurolab. The visit focused on discussions regarding possible future collaborations with Aravind.

Dr. Blake Marleau Snyder, Global Ophthalmologist, Stanford University Hospital, visited Aravind Eye Hospitals for an exposure visit to understand the Aravind working model. During his visit, he interacted with senior clinicians and teams at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, Salem, and Pondicherry.
