PGDM Students of Thiagarajar School of Management to Aravind

As part of the 8-day Rural Development Immersion Programme (RDIP) at Dhan Foundation, first-year PGDM students from Thiagarajar School of Management visited Aravind-Madurai and Aurolab. A total of 25 students participated in two batches. Prior to the visit, the students watched the Infinite Vision documentary. During the visit, they attended an orientation presentation, toured the facilities, and engaged in a group observation exercise. Syed Ali, Senior Faculty, LAICO, guided the students. For the first batch, Dr. Ganesh Babu, Senior Manager – Operations, LAICO, and Chandravadhana, Manager – Quality, conducted a debriefing session. For the second batch, Dhivya Ramasamy, Executive Director, LAICO, and Syed Ali facilitated a group discussion and Q&A session.
Team from A4 Hospitals and Fertility Centre
11-13 March 2026
The senior doctors and management staff from A4 Hospitals and Fertility Centre visited Aravind to understand all aspects of the Aravind model, from its vision, mission, values, and organisational culture to system management, human resource efficiency, affordable rural eye care delivery, teaching and training programmes, research initiatives, financial sustainability, and the inspiring work of Aurolab. During the visit, the team had interactions specific to their areas of interest with senior leaders and staff from the respective departments.
IAS Officers in Training from Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie

As part of the Bharat Darshan, IAS Officers in Training from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, made a brief visit to Aravind-Madurai. The Genesis presentation was delivered by Dhivya Ramasamy. During the presentation, Dr. R.D. Ravindran, and Thulasiraj Ravilla, were present to share valuable insights. The hospital tour was conducted by Syed Ali and Ushalini, Manager – Quality, Central Office.
Medical Students and Staff from Velammal Medical College Hospital and Research Institute
18th March 2026
A 14-member team, including Dr. Samir Bele from Community Health, along with a group of medical student representatives from Velammal Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, visited Aravind to understand its working model. The students had an initial meeting with Dr. G. Natchiar, followed by a Genesis presentation by Dr. Usha Kim. The hospital tour was conducted by Dr. Sabarish, Dr. Shanmati, and Santhosh Ganesh. Following this, Deepa presented the “Aravind Way.” After lunch, the team visited Aurolab. The overall visit programme was facilitated by Ramanathan, PRO, Aravind-Madurai.
