Dr. Bhavani graduated in medicine from K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Trichy. She completed MS in ophthalmology from Joseph Eye Hospital, Trichy in the year 2017. She worked as a Medical officer in Joseph Eye Hospital, Ariyalur for 1 year after post-graduation. She completed a 1-year general ophthalmology fellowship in Aravind Eye Hospital, Salem followed by 2 years of Surgical Vitreoretinal Fellowship in Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
