Dr. Dayakar Yadalla graduated in medicine and M.S from Osmania Medical College  and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Hyderabad. He started his career in Department of Ophthalmology at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He also completed his Royal College of Ophthalmologists Membership Exam (MRCOphth), and Fellowship Exam (FRCS, Glasgow). As Aravind’s mission coincided with his vision of reaching the unreached, he joined Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry in 2009. At present he is a Senior Consultant in Department in Orbit and Oculoplasty. He is an accomplished Cataract surgeon, and he also heads the community outreach department of Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry. His areas of interest are Lid, Lacrimal and Orbital Disorders. He is actively involved in clinical and surgical teaching of residents and fellows, and clinical research.
