Staging of a Tamil Play “Aram Seiya Virumbu”
Aravind-Madurai, 7th February 2026
Aravind-Madurai hosted a Tamil play titled “Aram Seiya Virumbu,” based on stories from Silappathikaram, presented by Thigal & Ilulu. This 60-minute play focused on the various virtues highlighted in Silappathikaram and presented them in a way that is relevant to modern life. The 2,000-year-old poetic language was adapted into simple, everyday language, making it easy to understand for audiences ranging from children to elders. The play was also based on the research work of L. Panjangam and P. Saravanan. Around 150 spectators from Aravind, including leadership members, doctors, AOPs, administrative staff, and staff children, watched the performance.
