Aravind’s 8th Secondary Eye Hospital was inaugurated at Chengalpattu on 29th August 2025. Formerly known as BEENT Eye Hospital, the existing facility was integrated into Aravind and now functions as Aravind’s Secondary Eye Centre serving the Chennai region. This transition marks a joyful union of two institutions already aligned in values, principles, and practices, further strengthening the reach and impact of high-quality, compassionate eye care. The centre provides comprehensive services for the treatment of cataract, refractive errors, and selected specialty eye conditions.
